"Good Catholics"

The difference between people who refer or have themselves referred to as "Good Catholics" and those known to be actual "good" Catholics? A good Catholic would have the assurance of never having to add such a qualifier if he was truly good, and would even take offense at it. Qualifiers in such instances are a means of rationalization.

"Why do you call me good? No one is good but God alone."

(Mk 10:18)

"None is righteous, no, not one."

(Ps 53:1; Rom 3:10)

  1. We just watched Bernedette on Formed. It's her life after the apparitions in the convent. Anyway, at one point they asked her if she was afraid of the Devil and she said she's only afraid of Bad Catholics! https://watch.formed.org/bernadette-1
